The ORNL DAAC has developed a series of word search and crossword puzzles related to science themes in Grades 1 through 7. The science themes include Climate and Weather; Earth's Geology; Ecosystem processes; Energy: Sources and Types; Environmental Concerns; and Space Exploration. The puzzles and answer keys are available online for free in PDF format (http://www.daac.ornl.gov/educator/puzzles.htm). We invite educators to print the puzzles, make copies, and use them in the classroom or as homework.
